Room check

Choose attention first, room second.

Room cards can look similar at a glance. Before you continue, check whether the card is live, whether the time window is still open, and whether the number row belongs to the current round.

Room label

Read the full label, not only the largest number. A one-minute room, colour room, quick room, and board room may show similar graphics with different rules.

Timer state

If the clock is almost finished, wait for the next clear state. A screen that is changing can create mistakes.

History row

Past numbers often sit close to the current panel. Look for words such as history, result, recent, or previous before you treat a number as current.

Close control

A good screen should let you step back. If you cannot find the back or close control, slow down and avoid rushed taps.

Useful habit

Read in one fixed path.

Use the same path each time: title, round status, timer, number row, colour cue, prompt, then exit control. A fixed path reduces the chance that bright graphics pull your eye away from the important state.
